Destello learns to shine

High up in the sky, the bigger stars shone ever so much.

And Destello, who was tiny, looked at her little light and sighed: «Mine is so very small…».

«What's the use of such a small light?», she thought, a little sad.

That night, a firefly had gotten lost. Everything was dark, dark and she couldn't find her home.

«Hello? Is anyone there?», she whimpered, scared in the blackness.

Destello flew down, spun around like a whirl and lit her little light with all her might: shine, shine!.

Step by step, her small light marked the path among the trees.

And so, following Destello, the firefly finally reached home. «Thank you! Your light saved me».

Destello turned pink with happiness. Her little light was small… but it did enormous things.

From that night she shone happily, knowing that even the tiniest light lights the way.
