The Hare and the Tortoise
Aesop's fable
🔊 Device voice
In a green meadow lived a very fast hare who boasted about his speed to all the animals.
Tired of so much bragging, a tortoise calmly challenged him: «Shall we race?». The hare burst out laughing, but happily accepted.
The race began. The hare shot off and left the tortoise far behind. He was so sure of winning that he decided to take a nap under a tree.
Meanwhile, the tortoise moved step by step, never stopping. She passed the sleeping hare and kept on her way patiently.
When the hare woke up, he ran like the wind… but it was too late: the tortoise was crossing the finish line to everyone's applause.
…and they all lived happily ever after. 🌙
