Lua and the whale who sang lullabies

One calm night, over the sea, Lua and Destello heard a beautiful song rising from the water.

It was a huge, kind whale, who sang lullabies to put the fish to sleep.

«You sing beautifully», said Lua. But the whale sighed: «Today… my voice won't come out».

«Tonight I'm tired and my song has hidden away», she said sadly. «And without a lullaby, the little fish won't be able to sleep».

«We'll help you», smiled Destello. The waves rocked the sea, swish, swish, and Lua bathed her in her soft light.

Little by little, the whale's voice came back, and she let out a long, beautiful note: aaaah.

Her song spread across the whole sea like a whirl of bubbles: la, la, laaa.

And one by one, the fish, the waves, Lua and Destello… all drifted asleep.

«Thank you, friends», whispered the whale. «Come back whenever you'd like a lullaby».
