The Fox and the Grapes

One hot afternoon, a very hungry fox was wandering about when he saw, hanging from a vine, some ripe, shiny bunches of grapes.

The grapes were very high up. The fox took a running start and jumped… but didn't reach them. He tried again and again, getting more and more tired.

No matter how he jumped, the grapes stayed out of his reach.

In the end, huffing, he turned around and said: «Bah, they're surely green and sour anyway». And off he went as if nothing mattered.
