The Three Little Pigs

Traditional tale

🔊 Device voice

Once upon a time there were three little pigs, brothers, who decided to each build their own house to live in peace.

The first little pig, in a great hurry to play, threw up a house of straw in a heartbeat. The second, a little more patient, built his of wood. The third, however, worked for days raising a sturdy house of bricks.

One afternoon a hungry wolf appeared. He huffed and puffed at the straw house and blew it down in an instant. The first little pig ran to take shelter in the wooden house.

The wolf followed them. He huffed with all his might and the wooden house fell too. The two little pigs fled, frightened, to their brother's brick house.

The wolf huffed and puffed, again and again, but the brick house didn't budge one bit. Tired and out of breath, the wolf went away for good.

Inside, the three brothers hugged, safe and sound. That night they understood that things made with care and patience are the ones that truly keep us safe.

…and they all lived happily ever after. 🌙
