At lua we take privacy seriously, especially for an app made for children. In short: no ads, no commercial tracking and we don't sell data to anyone. We only keep the minimum needed for the service to work.
On your device
For the experience to work, lua stores some things on your own device (browser local storage), not on our servers:
- Your favorite stories and the last one you read.
- The child's name, if you type it to personalize the greeting.
- Your preferences (such as night mode).
Your account
If you choose to sign in (with Google or with an email and password), we store the minimum data to manage your account: your email, an identifier and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. Authentication and the database are handled by Supabase on our behalf.
Payments and subscription
If you subscribe, the payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. We only keep your subscription status to know what content you can access.
Analytics
We use anonymous, aggregated web analytics (no advertising cookies or personal identification) only to understand which pages are visited and to improve lua.
Processors
To run the service we rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting) and Google (sign-in).
Children's data
lua is meant to be used by adultstogether with their children. The account and subscription are managed by an adult. The child's name you may enter is optional and stays only on the device.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. lua complies with the Google Play Families Policyand applicable children's data protection laws (such as GDPR). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can
delete your account and all your data at any time from
"My account" → "Delete my account", or by writing to
luakidscuentos@gmail.com. We keep your account data while your account is active; when you delete it, the data is permanently erased. You may also exercise your rights of
access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability, and lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
